A Change.org petition was received yesterday from a friend of Palestine, and of Palestine Action. It was written and started by John Mulligan on August 6th. It has gathered 331 signatures so far. The facts are more than shocking though many know we live in an illusory democracy. That quote from Orwell is apt - “If you want a picture of the future, imagine a boot stamping on a human face—for ever.” - George Orwell in his novel 1984.
William Plastow, a Manchester-based writer and one of the 'Filton 18' protestors, has been held in prison for over 12 months without trial for taking part in a peaceful protest at Elbit Systems in August 2024. The government want him to remain on remand for 21 months before his trial in April of 2026, despite his deteriorating health.
William is not a criminal — he is a citizen, a protestor, and a human being. His protest was non-violent and morally justified. He was part of a group challenging the UK’s arms trade and military links to Israel's assault on Gaza. For this, he has been imprisoned in harsh conditions that violate both natural justice and basic human rights.

Killing and bombing are still ongoing. There is now widespread starvation and hunger everywhere. We are unable to move or walk because of a lack of food, especially flour.
Thieves steal food aid and sell this at astronomic prices, money dealers take a 45% commission to get shekels. These are indeed the most difficult times due to genocide, and famine. We dream night and day how to secure a little food to survive and remain alive in this unjust world.

Baroness Smith of Cluny, Advocate General for Scotland is now added for her responsibility within both national and international law.

My first visit was with the Voyage of the Dove and the Dolphin. This set off from Haldon Pier in Torbay 1-02-2003. The 20 minute film - 'Eyes Open Gaza' made of that voyage and of Gaza, clearly shows an ongoing genocide then with all evidence that those leading the de facto state declared in May 1948 had no respect for international law from its unlawful instigation in that year.
