Dear Mr Hart,

The delegated decision to allow this application was relayed to me by Mrs Helen Cock. Attached.  As an interested party who has made cogent objections to this process, I would expect the courtesy of being informed directly.

I am very aware this is not a 'planning' matter, but at a stroke the privacy of my wife and me, and of guests, will be the less when in our north facing rooms, both by day and night. The value of our property has been lessened by an amount that cannot be measured.  It puts us in the shoes of the couple who bought this Colt bungalow about 40 years ago.  It had lain unused.  The retired thatcher and his artistic wife had to fight their way up a drive overwhelmed by brambles and seeded trees.  They set to work with their daughter and her partner.  They tamed the large garden and enhanced it greatly, including excellent stone masonry.  We can put ourselves in the shoes of Mr and Mrs Hodges who saw apartments rising up where there had been a small dwelling with a small commercial garage run by a talented mechanic - Mr Edgecombe I believe.  The Hodges planted laurel as a screen.  Happily, some layered on the bank derived from excavation for the apartments, and these screen the lower storeys between the properties.

Before I comment further on the process and principle, I respectfully ask for further information.  As you know, I do not have to cite the Freedom of Information Statute, all public bodies being bound to respond to proper questions within 20 days.  The answers will be immediately at hand and could be given to me within a few days only.

Dear Sophie,

Campaigning hard as an Independent man and mind in the constituency of Newton Abbot.  Back from the woods, I had a message about 10 days ago to contact you.  You have interviewed me several times, first and way back to do with the Voyage of The Dove and the Dolphin - 1-02-03.  Again re my fight with good others for the life of our Community Hospitals and their vital in-patient beds.  Lost - hence the third world chaos in OUR DGHs.  Every day I hear stories of gross negligence.

I 'phoned the Plymouth BBC, and James recorded about 7 minutes of my forth right responses to about 6 set questions. He said 'great'.  I trust he will stay in post.  He said you were unsure when the whole piece would be broadcast.  I have not heard.  I have watched a few minutes of the Boris/Jeremy Punch and Judy show which central BBC 'editors' are keen to flog to infinity.  I have seen a few excruciating clips from the third form debating society - Mrs Swinson.  Britain has been lowered mostly by our politicians but ably helped by the 'media'.

I asked this - 

Please confirm or deny whether these two entities (Saudi Arabia and Israel) are allies of the UK - via the FCO please.  And, if they are formal allies, has the current HMG plans to revise this status in the face of international law and ordinary humanity. Neither question is answered

And tell me the total value of arms sales to each entity within the last 5 years    Not given, but I know that UK arms sales to Saudi Arabia has been worth c. £5 billion.

I refer to my three e-mails to you - gathered in the attached document and sent yesterday 22-10-19  at 9.56, 10.24, and 10.44 .  You replied to them at 7.09 pm - below.  The latter being prompt, is exceptional.  You have never replied to over 30 e-mails to you without there being an initial 'automatic' reply by e-m.  Almost all have been about breaches of international law by HMG.  Your responses have usually required urging by me, and have not been substantive.  There are 15 records on my web site of correspondence with you.  This is the second most recent  https://dhalpin.infoaction.org.uk/2-articles/correspondence-with-politicians/96-correspondence-with-mp-mel-stride

You, with a large majority in the 'House', have agreed to aggressive wars as proscribed by the Charter of the UN, and as incorporated in the Nuremberg Protocols.  A few MPs and Peers have stood firmly against such unlawfulness and gross cruelty, involving the destruction of sovereign nations and their people.  I pick out John Baron MP, who has served in the forces and knows too well of the horror of war, and of the conspiracies leading to it.  The late true Labour MP Paul Flynn was another https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paul_Flynn_(politician) even though surrounded by 'Blairites' ie supporters of the paramount psychopath and war criminal.  I recall the late Lord Onslow.  He was the only one who reacted in horror at the evidence given by Craig Murray at the Joint Intelligence Committee.  (Watch the video.)
